Arsenal Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is owned by Second Degree Black Belt Sam Burns. Professor Sam Burns believes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can make EVERYONE'S life better! A Second Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Mike Rethmeyer, he is a native of Southern Illinois with almost 30 years experience and a passion for martial arts and fitness. Professor Burns combines real-world experience from his law enforcement and military career with three decades of martial arts training and competition to provide a unique level of instruction to anyone at any skill level. Offering instruction in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as Boxing/Kickboxing, Professor Burns likes to say he doesn’t teach BJJ or boxing, he CREATES FIGHTERS - Fighters that can take their knowledge to the cage, ring, mat, or just have it in their bag of tricks if the need arises to defend their Life, Liberty, or Property. Professor Burns is always seeking to better himself, and his students with the newest techniques and science in the sport without forsaking the tried and true methods that built the Art.
